Flooring is one of the most significant investments you'll make in your home, and it's not something we can change every six months or so. But, unfortunately, that means whatever you choose is something you'll need to live with for a long time. So while you'll see hundreds of samples in our flooring store, don't get distracted and stay focused on your requirements.
Before you make any decisions, you must answer some questions. Do you have a large, active family with kids and pets or a small, quiet one? Do you get a lot of foot traffic, not just from the home's residents but also guests and large gatherings. If it's to be a kitchen flooring installation, do you spend long periods in that room preparing big meals?
Determine how the room will be used, whether it's a center of family activity, a place for guests only, or if it includes a home gym, office, or reading area. Examine the natural light at different times of the day, as colors can sometimes shift depending on the brightness. Also, think about whether the room is large or small; light colors can visually expand the space, while darker ones can close it up.
